Recurring Dream DSC_5578

"I stand amid the roar

Of a surf-tormented shore,

And I hold within my hand

Grains of the golden sand —

How few! yet how they creep

Through my fingers to the deep,

While I weep — while I weep!

O God! Can I not grasp

Them with a tighter clasp?

O God! can I not save

One from the pitiless wave?

Is all that we see or seem

But a dream within a dream?"

A dream within a dream by Edgar Allan Poe.

If people only come to my stream and expect all lightness then they best turn away now. Life is complex, full of ups and downs, happiness, sadness, madness and everything in between so those feelings overflow into my images.

This is a double exposure of a single image which made itself as I was playing as I felt it had a story to tell. My recurring dream is tidal waves. Others may see something else entirely.
