Shipwrecked DSC_6545
"Death dances, comes to you,
Just whatchya going to do?
Ship lost in giant pools, death dances up to
Loaded
Down into
Love and drawn into the void
Double trouble to the void
Love and drawn into the void
Drop a rhythm on the decks
Drunken rhythm on the decks
For the chance of a kiss" by Thom Yorke "Shipwreck"
The wreck of the S.S.Speke which ran aground at Kitty Miller Bay on 22 February 1906. The accident was attributed to faulty navigation by the captain who had confused Cape Schank Lighthouse for the Split Point Lighthouse at Aireys Inlet.
Four men escaped by lifeboat which capsized, killing one of the sailors.
This is over a 3 minute exposure just before sunset. One of thing I learnt from this capture is that I have an extremely dirty sensor-again :(
