Australasian Gannet Chick
These birds were photographed on the ONLY mainland Gannet Rookery found in Australia located on the tip of Point Danger near Portland. They are colonial breeders and lay one egg and the young take five years to reach maturity.
The adults have an elaborate greeting ritual which I uploaded here.
