Masters Of War Dylan Series DSC_3307-Edit
Flicker x 100 2017 challenge. 15/100 Theme- Bob Dylan songs
From The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, released in 1963.
I had a different image in mind to make for this song but when Andrew Street Art Guru (www.flickr.com/photos/ajhaysom/) found this piece by the artist Lush this morning, we though it was a perfect fit. I know this isn't the first time I've said it and it won't be the last regarding the relevance of so many of Dylan's songs today.
I don't think I have to say anything too much about the relationship between this image and this song, except have a listen to the song if you have never heard it. It you have, enjoy it again. If you can't stomach Dylan, listen to Eddie Vedder's version which is awesome

A couple of verses from Masters of War by Dylan
Come you masters of war
You that build all the guns
You that build the death planes
You that build all the bombs
You that hide behind walls
You that hide behind desks
I just want you to know
I can see through your masks.
You that never done nothin'
But build to destroy
You play with my world
Like it's your little toy
You put a gun in my hand
And you hide from my eyes
And you turn and run farther
When the fast bullets fly.
Like Judas of old
You lie and deceive
A world war can be won
You want me to believe
But I see through your eyes
And I see through your brain
Like I see through the water
That runs down my drain.
