Long Exposure Landscape

Scene from Pedernales Falls State Park in Johnson City, Texas. I like the dreamy look that a 10-stop filter produces on landscape shots with moving water and clouds. Here, I used a mini-tripod to get this particular perspective. I accidentally dropped the tripod in the water, instinctively reached out for it, stepping into the water filled with slippery rocks, and nearly slipped and smashed my camera. Fortunately, the tripod got caught in some swirling water behind a rock and I was able to retrieve it. At least my instinctive lunging towards the dropped equipment happened at the edge of water rather than at the edge of a cliff!
