Autumn Island [explored 07.10.18]

After so much warmth and sun this summer, I'd forgotten what it's like to get up at 4am, (when every other sane person is in bed), when you've turned the corner from Summer, and are well and truly into Autumn.

 

A very frosty zero degrees start to the day.

 

I'm not good with cold, to say the least. Warmth leaves my body at a ridiculously fast rate and if I get too cold it takes me the rest of the day to get warm.

Right now I'm in winter pj's and thermal socks, with the heating on and my hands are still cold!

 

However, it would be criminal to pass up the opportunity to see such wonderful sights as this and to visit all the places we go to.

 

For clarity, "Autumn Island" is in fact Derwent Isle on Derwent Water, (but I like my description better :)
