Craw Stane 23 Nov 2015

The Craw Stane at Rhynie with Tap o' Noth in background.

A Class I Pictish Symbol Stone. The south side (facing) has a salmon inscribed above an elephant in the lighter, litchen covered area near the top. This stone remains in its original site on top of a low ridge about 150 yards south-west of the Rhynie Old Kirkyard.

(The pictish symbols are more clearly seen if you zoom in on the above image)
