LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: This picture released by the British Museum 07 January, 2005 in London shows a crystal skull which is displayed in the museum's Wellcome Trust Gallery. The skull, which was alledged to be from the ancient Aztec civilisation of Mexico, has been determined to be a fake after marks made by a rotating wheel were found on the work. Investigators conjecture that he crystal was cut in the 19th century with suspicion falling to Frenchman Eugene Boban, who originally acquired the skull.
