Brazed in the nuts, water wash, I was gonna use bolts but changed my mind. I use SST hardware for Brazing stuff like this to avoid having to deal with zinc coatings.
Scotch bright finish on the handles, had to sand 220 grit first because I could see the weld seam on the outside.
Half way, or ebony and ivory...together again etc....

Mill scale removed, filed flat more or less, 120 grit finish.
Mill scale removed, blah blah. Adding a heat patina, sorta gun metal blue grey to the steel bits next.
