Natural make-up 1
For this makeup look I chose to create a natural ,almost effortless, makeup look. I was inspired by Burberry's signature nude look that is often seen on their runways and fashion spreads, but I chose to tone the make-up down further so it would be a suitable look for everyday use and would allow more of the model’s skin to show through the makeup. Essentially I wanted to create a flawless but natural appearance.
Steps
Firstly I applied moisturiser to my model’s skin to smooth her skin whilst filling in some pore to prepare her skin for the make-up that I would be applying.
I let the moisturiser soak into the skin for a few minutes before I moved onto applying a pore refining primer to create a smooth canvas for the foundation I would applying and because my model has oily skin and applying primer would make the make-up last longer.
Then I applied a lightweight foundation, I chose to use a lightweight foundation because I wanted to even out my model’s skin tone because she had a fair amount of redness in the centre of her face but I still wanted her skin to show through, especially her freckles as I thought they added lots of character to her face and it would be a shame to cover them. I blended the foundation in using a dense foundation brush using short strokes in multiple directions to avoid leaving brush streaks and I focused most of the foundation in the centre of my model’s face as this is where the majority of her unevenness is.
I then applied an illuminating concealer under my model’s eyes in a triangular shape to highlight this area and to conceal my model’s slight dark circles.
I also used the same illuminating concealer on the my model’s nose bridge, forehead and chin to highlight these areas and create a dewy effect to the skin, I blended this out using a small pointed concealer brush using a mixture of short strokes and dabbing motions.
