Subtle every day make-up
This is another make-up look that I created but this time I applied the make-up to myself.
I was inspired by the previous make-up look that I designed to create another look inspired by natural beauty but this time I wanted to go for a more made up look which incorporated more eye-shadow to the look. So I chose to use a light gold palette on the eyes to create a slightly smokey look but still suitable for an every day basis.
Steps
For this make-up look i firstly applied a smoothing primer to my already moisturized face to mattify my skin as my skin is very oily.
Then I applied a mixture of my regular medium coverage foundation and lightening drops as my regular foundation is slightly too dark for me at the moment. I blended the foundation out using a fluffy brush using sharp stroking motions to ensure that I didn't leave any brush strokes.
Then I applied a illuminating concealer under my eyes to lighten my dark circles, which I blended out with a small pointed concealer brush.
Then I moved onto my eyebrows. I started off by grooming them into place then began to fill them in using a brow powder and an angled eyebrows brush, then I went in with a slightly darker colour on a fine detail brush and added more definition on areas that I still felt were too sparse.
The using a round eye-shadow brush I applied a warm gold eye shadow to my entire lid to apply a wash of warm colour, then I applied alight shimmer to my brow bone to highlight my eyes.
Then I applied a medium toned bronze eye shadow to my crease and lower lash line to define these areas but without making them look too smokey.
Then I curled my eyelashes and applied a few layers of mascara to my upper and lower lashes to open up my eyes.
Using a contour shade I then went onto contour my cheekbones, jawline and temples to make my face look more sculpted.
I then reapplied some more concealer under my eyes where so of it had been rubbed away when wiping away some eye shadow fallout.
Finally I applied some highlight to the tops of my cheekbones and mattifying powder my t zone.
I also created a time lapse video of the make-up application and uploaded it to my YouTube channel : www.youtube.com/watch?v=MU4HSkoaYto
