Lawrence octave fuzz will articulate sounds you were not really aware about before. It’s not a toy as many other octafuzzes and provides a hardline tone. Not lacking a low end, it’s character stands out within a midrange. It’s gain structure is extremely dense with coarse grain.

Lawrence not only has a high octave on/off switch, it also has a high octave level knob. With pot set to maximum it brings a classic, screaming octafuzz sound, but you may want to blend just a little bit of the octave effect to your rhythm tone to unveil absolutely original character. There it shines.

Gain knob sets compression level and pressure of the fuzz, instead of a typical dirt-amount control. Tone knob lets you tame high-end or helps to acquire some sharpness, but won’t go nowhere out of a reasonable range. These controls are not very sensitive and let to tune in a precise tone. Volume knob is set to have a little boost available with gain at minimum or to blast with it’s full fuzz potential.
