William Alner -- The 1911 Census includes an 18 year old William Harry Alner living at Waytown, Netherbury with his parents (Harry and Elizabeth Alner) and eight siblings. Both William and his father are described as Labourers. His father Harry Alner had been born in Dorset, while his mother Elizabeth had been born in India. William himself had been born at Maiden Newton, but his siblings had been born in a wide range of different Dorset parishes: Loders, Weymouth, Sydling, Bradford Abbas, Hillfield and Halstock.
