Nail artThe French manicure
I was kind of born while the 90’s were fading away, so nail art has always been a sober effect. I don’t go out of my way with the designer prints, and if I have to, or want to, I normally go to the parlour (yes seriously, they do it so much better), and there’s this cool tattoo place where they print the stuff onto your nails, so I can do exactly what I want to do to them. The rest of the time I pick some colour and maniacally keep painting my nails that one colour till I run out of it; awkward. So I keep a fix, one I learned from the time I was in Univ – the emergency French manicure. It’s for when I don’t have a colour that’ll match, or for work; and it’s a shortcut.
Things you’ll need to have around the house always:
Acetone (nail polish/paint remover)
Tape (yes duck tape/ or the cellophane transparent version)
White paint/polish/ink whitener (for emergency purposes)
Transparent polish/ top coat (you’ll have to stock up, keep like two bottles; as soon as the first one finishes, replace it)
Okay, so time to start.
