Church Ladir

High above the Rhine Valley (north fork, rr. Surselva) are beautiful small villages with original little wooden houses (dt. Walserhäuser) with flowers in front of their windows and balconies and tight lanes. It seems that time stands still if it weren't for the modern days cars that are everywhere around for which it's hard to find parking lots in all this tightness. Every once in a while when you get a glimpse into these houses because a door or window is open, you realize most of these houses look old on the outside but are renovated and very modern on the inside.

One such Rhaeto-Romanic village is Ladir and its church thrones outside the village on a platform. I find it looks awesome in this mountain environment, but see yourself...
