Microsoft Revealed its Lumia 550 Mobile in India, Goes on for Sale at Rs. 9,399
Previous week in Europe, Microsoft Lumia 550 Windows 10 Mobile went on for sale. However, it was now officially unveiled in India and will be available for purchase from Wednesday onwards and comes in two variants such as Glossy White and Matte Black.
The Microsoft Lumia 550 India price is Rs. 9,399 ad is declared that the phone doesn’t have the capability of supporting Windows 10 Continuum feature that automatically makes the mobile act like computers with a desktop-style interface.
This smartphone is the Microsoft’s low-budget device which is running Windows 10 Mobile that is out-of-the-box. Coming to the Microsoft Lumia 550 specifications, it sports 4.7-inch HD display which is having a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels with 315ppi pixel density. The mobile is packed with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor which is clocked at 1.1GHz.
Other Microsoft Lumia 550 specs included are: it is provided with Adreno 304 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The handset also bears some features like the latest Microsoft Edge browser, revamped Outlook mail, OneDrive, Microsoft Office, Cortana Digital voice assistant and Glance Screen that allows consumers to view their notifications without completely unlocking the device.
The Microsoft Lumia 550 features 8GB internal memory that can be expandable up to 200GB using microSD card and also supports single Micro-SIM. It houses 5MP autofocus rear camera which supports HD video recording, LED flash and an f/2.4 aperture. The Microsoft Lumia 550 also bears 2MP sensor which is located upfront supporting an f/2.8 aperture and 480p video recording.
The handset’s rear camera include some features like auto/ manual exposure, geo-tagging and touch focus as well as includes a Micro-USB port.
The Microsoft Lumia 550 includes few wireless connectivity features like Bluetooth 4.1, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot functionality and other standard options. It also supports 4G LTE (Cat. 4) (Indian LTE bands) and the company claimed that it offers download speeds of up to 150Mbps and uploads of up to 50Mbps.
The Microsoft Lumia 550 Windows 10 Mobile takes the juice from a replaceable 2100mAh battery that is can deliver standby time up to 28 days, talk time on 2G up to 16 hours, on 3G up to 14 hours and on 4G up to 17 hours. The Microsoft Lumia 550 features some sensors such as ambient light sensor, accelerometer and proximity sensor. The dimensions of the phone are 136.1 x 67 x 9.9mm.
