Sony Planning to bring its Alpha A68-SLT camera in the US and Canada on April 2016

Last month, Sony has introduced the new Alpha a68-SLT camera in Europe. Now it is expected to bring the camera in the US and Canada markets in April 2016. The camera pre-order is likely to be started in March.

 

Sony’s latest Alpha lineup camera come with a 24.2-megapixel APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor and an ISO range of 100-25,600 as well as packs a Bionz X image processor. The Sony Alpha a68-SLT camera is provided with a hybrid OLED electronic viewfinder and a 2.7-inch tilting LCD.

The major highlight feature that is included in the camera is the translucent mirror that is called by the company as D4 Focus and also provided with a 79-point phase-detection AF which works nicely at up to 8fps. Users are having an option of 1080p at 24, 25 and 30fps, though the a68 camera doesn’t support in capturing 4K.

The Sony Alpha a68-SLT camera body price is $600 while with 18-55mm kit lens; it is priced at $700. Due to the 4D FOCUS system, the camera offers extraordinary AF performance in any type of shooting situations such as in lighting as low as EV-2 where most of the cameras will not provide good performance in this condition.

There are several other features that are packed in the camera such as for adjustments a rear and front control wheel is present, contains 10 customizable buttons, for Image Stabilization it has SteadyShot Inside, a built-in flash and also a multi-interface shoe for use with microphones and other accessories.

The Sony Alpha a68 SLT camera supports full-HD video recording up to 50Mbps in XAVC S format. The sensor of the camera is grouped with a BIONZ X Image processor which uses Detail Reproduction and Diffraction-reducing Technologies and also Area-specific Noise Reduction that results in pristine and clear shots.
