ZTE has launched its long-awaited handset – the ZTE Axon Mini in China. The handset has been launched in three variants – Ion Gold and Chromium Silver, Rose Gold, and Premium Edition priced at CNY 2,299, CNY 2,399 and CNY 2,699 respectively. Unfortunately, the company didn’t reveal anything about Premium Edition. The smartphone is officially said to be launched in Italy, Spain, Turkey, Germany, France, Australia, India, Japan, Russia, Singapore, Thailand and Hong Kong in coming months.
Talking about highlights, the ZTE Axon Mini sports aircraft-grade aluminum-titanium alloy body, an eye-scanner and a fingerprint sensor; becoming the perfect alternative of high-end flagships. Talking about rest specs, the handset features 5.2 inch Super AMOLED display with full HD i.e. 1080×1920 pixels of resolution and 2.5D curved-edge glass. It comes with 32GB of on-board storage which is expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD.
Powering the ZTE Axon Mini is a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 616 SoC which packs an octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 405 Graphics Processing Unit and 3GB of RAM. Further, backed by a 2800 mAh battery, the handset features a 13 megapixels PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus) camera on its rear, while an 8 megapixels shooter with 5P aspherical lens is placed at its front for selfies.
