Much Anticipated Motorola's Droid Turbo 2 Launched

Nerdeky News:After countless leaks, finally Motorola officially launched its much-anticipated Droid Turbo 2 in the United States. It comes in two storage variants – 32GB and 64GB. Much like previous Droids, the newcomer will be exclusively sold through Verizon. The 32GB and 64GB model cost $624 and $720, respectively without operator contract.

 

The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 features a 5.4 inch display with 1440x2560 pixels of QHD resolution. The company explained that the display of this device is a flexible AMOLED ‘ShatterShield’ unit which is made of aluminum rigid core and dual-layer touchscreen, ensuring that it wouldn’t break even when dropped on a slab of concrete.

 

Powering the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 SoC which packs an octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. Configuration sector also include a MicroSD slot which supports expansion up to 2TB. The handset features a duo of 21 (with dual LED flash, Phase Detection Autofocus and f/2.0 aperture) and 5 (with flash) megapixels cameras placed on its rear and front, respectively.

 

Connectivity options on the single-SIM functionality-enabled Motorola Droid Turbo 2 include GPRS, EDGE, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Further, running on Android v5.1.1 Lollipop, the handset is backed by a 3760 mAh battery (supports QuickCharge) which is able to offer 2 days of ‘mixed usage’.
