By Massinessa Salmani
Before starting his artistic career, Massinessa Salmani ( born 1980 ) studied computer science in Algeria. In 2005 he moved to France to study at Ecole supérieure d'art et de design TALM-Tours from which he graduated in 2010.
Salmani’s work is the result of the many different kinds of experiments that drawing affords. It is characterized by extreme simplicity, often presenting montages of images and drawings or short animations that mingle humour, irony and sometimes even a sense of revolt. His images reveal the ambiguities of signs and push their juxtapositions to the point of absurdity.
