Grenada Republic exhibit in Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello
Epic Memory brings together fragments of individual and collective stories, deposited in the past. The artists let old memories and forgotten sensations emerge, thus defining their own identity in an equally fragmented Caribbean context. Their works come from a dreamlike dimension, they are dreamy, impalpable, ethereal. The memory of Grenada’s seductive and multiform nature is told through these vibrating works, in constant transformation. The history of this land is stored in the DNA, passed down from generation to generation, engraved like a scar: art thus traces the map of a Caribbean Civilisation that is constantly changing, yet still vaguely familiar.
