Mike-rowave says: The highlights in this photo are what really drew my eye. The deep contrast between the light coming from behind the clouds and the dark shadows of the storm clouds in the sky contrast nicely when juxtaposed directly next to each other!

Mike-rowave says: I chose this photo because I really liked the color scheme in this photo. The lavender hue really compliments the sky blue hue of the water and the aqua green hue of the grass. The contrast between the jet black forests contrasts really well with the paper white highlights of the lake

Mike-rowave says: The wide tonal range is what really caught my eye. The paper white highlights found in the bottom half of the animal's fur really contrasts really well with the jet black shadows. The creative use of line here creates an innocent vibe about the animal

Mike-rowave says: I chose this photo because of the really clean texture in the subject's hair. The different textures creates a unique look to the photo and gives it a graphic novel kind of look. I also really liked that the artist tried to implement cross-hatching into the shadow of the neck.

Mike-rowave says: This artwork caught my eye because of how unique it is. I never would've thought of melting down crayons and putting those exact crayons on top to show what blend of color the melted colors originated from. The deep contrast between all the different colors created a really cool ombre, just perfect for a deep quote.

Mike-rowave says: I chose this photo because of the vibrant color palette. All of the colors present in this photo, aqua blue, forrest green, reddish green, and yellow green all consist of a green tint allowing everything to match perfectly. The contrast between the light blue sky and the dark shade of blue in the mountains creates a good comparison, separating the backgrounds

Mike-rowave says: I chose this photo because of the amazing realism present. The anatomy of the elements is basically spot on and the color shades of the animals are believable. The bright yellow grass contrasts greatly with the dull brown elephant. I like the selective focus found in the background, the blurriness allows the subject to be focused in on more.

Mike-rowave says: I chose this photo because of how unique the concept is. The vibrant colors of well known characters in their pixelated forms contrasts really well with the pitch black background. By putting all of the fictional characters from different medias together, it shows that they are all similar and can be looked at in the same way.

Mike-rowave says: I chose this photo because of the beautiful highlights. The anatomy of the subjects are amazingly spot on and the charcoal piece appears to be a photograph if you don't look twice. The deep contrast between the paper white highlights and the pitch black shadows creates a great contrast. The wide range of tonal range gives the art an old timey feel which really completes the piece

Mike-rowave says: I chose this photo because of the contrasts of the vibrant colors. The paper white highlights in the blue bird's feathers contrasts nicely with the dark blue and lavender liquid in the cup. I really like the blurry shadows outlining the subject because it creates a sense of mystery to the piece. The unique concept and great use of color really makes the piece a great concept executed correctly.
