Sunset at Peter's Stone (Explored)

Fleeting light catches the flanks of Peter's Stone and surrounding hills above Cressbrook Dale. This once notorious location was one of the the last places in England corpses of executed criminals were put on public display to deter would-be felons. Hence it was also known as the Gibbet Rock after the cages they were hung up in.
