Colus Pusillus

I found this clathrate stinkhorn, like almost all other species I find, at Mt. Coot-tha Botanic Gardens. This one was growing in the Bunya (Araucaria bidwillii) forest, in mulch on the side of the road. There had been hours of heavy rain prior to finding this fungus. I am now trying to cultivate this species, along with other stinkhorns, using the rhizomorphs at the base of the volva (it is really very easy to do, and stinkhorn mycelium is extremely hardy, capable of overcoming most contaminants)
