Bøssemagergade Hellebæk

The old, well-preserved houses and buildings tell of an enterprising time, when the area was once the center of a major arms production in times of kings Frederik the 2nd and Christian the 4. Times when many battles were fought.

Bøssemagergade has been the center of a number of activities throughout history and, among other things, has housed an inn, a school, a hawker's and grocer's shop in addition to workshops and housing for blacksmiths.

Today, most of the houses have been converted into residences, where everyone passing by can enjoy the sight of the small barred windows and yellow and red facades, where hollyhocks and rose beds light up in the summer.
