short-eared owl - velduil - Asio flammeus

In this picture I did not synchronize the shutter speed with the flash on purpose so that the bottom of the sensor could not detect any light. This gives you a dark bottom that fits a portrait like this if you ask me. Btw external light or the flash would not cause physical damage to an owl.
