Drone mapping

Geologist Jesse Korus is mapping the thickness and extent of a spring 2019 flood deposit in a field near the Platte River. It took nearly 1000 overlapping photos from a fixed-wing drone to make a 3D terrain model of this mile-long sand deposit.
