03 13 2021 Oooooo (WS) Evening Teals [Explored]

Two male Green-winged Teals along the shores of Tsehum Harbour this spring about one month before they flew north to raise their young.

 

I was pleased to see them return earlier this week to winter in our waters. They live ~27 years, and as I usually spend some time with them every year, and often walk by, I swear the older ones recognize me & my voice. It makes it handy when they aren't as skittish for a photoshoot.
