686 (2) Sunrise Splash

The Trumpeter Swans have returned to winter here from their breeding grounds on the northern tundra.

While on a walk along the Pat Bay trail before midday, we counted over 130 birds. Busy as I was, I knew I had to make the concerted effort to come back at sunset, and sunrise. Such majestic birds, they are always a pleasure to see and watch.
