003 (2) Irate Crow

I had spent a couple of early mornings down on the Tsehum Harbour waterfront, and in the timespan of one day, a pair of crows took exception to me walking the path. I had wondered what had changed, for I knew most crow's broods had fledged or were close to leaving the nest. They were aggressively dive-bombing me along the whole path. No matter the cause, I decided to take advantage of the situation.

It wasn't until I was walking home and enduring their attention once more, that I found out the reason. A dog walker told me that the day previously a man had discovered two fledglings at the base of a nearby pine tree, and he picked them up!! He, like I, was wearing a ball cap... (Northwestern Crow, BC).
