Ryan Lorenzi says: The shadows contrast with the bright light off of the side of the pyramid. The waves on the pyramid are almost exposed because of the light and since the background is out of focus, it brings attention to itself.

Ryan Lorenzi says: Selective color is very interesting as it is a vibrant color in an otherwise black and white setting. Textures of the objects surrounding the colored object are amplified from the grey tones and it's tonal range.

Ryan Lorenzi says: I enjoy this photo because of the contrast, the whole photo to me is like a big contrast. The hand comes out from the black background, the textures and bends of skin on the hand are exposed from the contrast to light, and the fingers and their details come out from the contrast of the hand's color and the shadows in the fingers.

Ryan Lorenzi says: Absolutely vibrant, it contrasts very well with the grey background and since it;s in focus the color really pops out. Along with that, the green contrasts with the red and some light exposure brings out all of the contrasts in the photo.

Ryan Lorenzi says: I found this picture be hold a lot,in that the first thing to catch my eye was the light colors on otherwise dark objects. It looks like everything is in focus, and the ISO must have been experimented with as the grain, or noise, is extremely noticeable, more on the dark areas/colors in the objects and the background on the right.

Ryan Lorenzi says: I think the color contrast is very nice because the colors sort of come together and the green pops out in front of the reds and yellows behind it. The photo is also very crisp and the shadows bring out the patterns and textures of the subjects.

Ryan Lorenzi says: There is a beautiful amount of lighting and shadows in this photograph. The way the vegetables are lined across contrast against on another and the shadows expose textures and such on the actual vegetables.
