cubism

1.I got inspiration to shoot my cubism from the shooting challenge, Sheets since I thought having a ghost like appearance in a photo gives the picture a more mysterious, unsettling look. It first took a few tries since the original plan was to have it in the dark and have some blue tinted lighting which didn't work out so i settled for using a lamp to shine on the subject.

2.What I did was try out a few test shots angling myself to stay still while moving the camera horizontally, up, down and zooming in and out to see what to have in the photo. Having a main subject in the middle really helped because you could easily tell what parts to add to the picture to fit it like a puzzle.

3. My initial plan was to have a dim blue toned lighting, giving it a dark but lightened look and have a couple props with the subject to have some dimension in the picture but it just didn't work out from small space and not knowing what props to add in. Overall I did come up with ideas as I worked shooting it, putting a lamp to shine on the subject so it gives off a shadow to have the same effect of an unsettling look.
