Abertillery regeneration
Blending historical and ecclesiastical reverence with town centre regeneration; the redevelopment of Church Street and St Michael's Church in Abertillery, South Wales.
Forest Pennant supplied 1500m2 paving, six Pennant sandstone slabs inset with stainless steel lettering reading “Church
Street”, and 28 individual cubic seats adorned
with stainless steel corners and black granite tops.
The redevelopment of the churchyard draws on a number of biblical references to create a bespoke and spiritual environment, including two benches and twelve seats, a set of stone steps incorporating stainless steel Ancient Greek lettering, and coping for the perimeter wall.
