The denotation for this photo is a picture of still water reflecting the image of a snow crested mountain. It is reversed like a mirror image, two mountains guarding similar but opposite worlds. The connotation for this photo is solidarity and tranquility. There is also a sense of timelessness and isolation. Finally, the reflection creates a sense of introspection and self discovery. I personally like this photo because I love reflections and the mountains. I know from experience how hard it is to use water to get such a still reflection. This is a shot that I dream of one day getting a chance to take.
