Breif description for photo essay 1: Flowers in Europe
Using contrast as my experimental technique, I tried to shoot various flowers throughout all of Europe. In each flower, I looked for one single quality: extreme contrast between the flower itself, and the environment the flower was surrounding. I attempted to give each photograph a more rough and rigid looking texture as if to really make each flower stand out. To me, in each picture, the flowers would distribute an independent or unique feel, and I felt that the high contrast helped.
