Jek-verse Justice League v2

My real entry to Sam K Bricks’ contest.

As my first time building minifigures for Flickr I had so much fun with the league and backstory that I started and just didn't stop :P Sam K Bricks said he was curious to see what I came up with, well here it is.

Justice League of Earth 49.

An alien species known as the Kroloteans have plundered the universe harvesting the technology and DNA of various species and the rarer meta-species for genetic experiments.

The Kroloteans have been on a crusade of the galaxy with their hearts set on the collecting the rarest specimens available; not unlike the uniquely adapted humanoids they had hoped to find in the now decimated remains of the planet Krypton.

Angered by their loss and spurred on by rumours of a species with extraordinary abilities on a distant planet known as ‘Terra’, the Kroloteans mobilise, forces converging to harvest the fabled ‘meta-humans’ of Earth and the last surviving cowardly son-of-Krypton who is hiding amongst the native Homo sapiens.

Upon reaching the solar system however, the Kroloteans encountered an even more invaluable prize: the Martians.

Kal-El:

The original League predicted that Superman would be a target of the Kroloteans, Kal-El elected to step down from the public and the League, working in secret instead. Superman waits to unleash his Earth-altered powers on the unsuspecting Kroloteans.

Aquaman - Arthur Curry:

The Warrior King of Atlantis ruled his people dutifully until the war with the Tritonians, under the influence of Black Manta. Atlantis and Poseidonis suffered great losses, but none felt more so than Aquaman losing his beloved Mera and his hand. He once again left Atlantis to join the Justice League while he healed. Arthur Curry is currently finding the solace with his new lover, Shayara.

Green Arrow - Oliver Queen:

When billionaire tycoon Bruce Wayne struck a deal with the Mayor of Star City, Oliver Queen, the two became twin cities, united by business and technology working in secret to fund Batman's expansion of the League.

Icon - Arnus ‘Augustus Freeman’:

When the Justice League called, Icon answered.

The Kroloteans sought the last known Kryptonian - currently the most well known man on Earth - forcing Kal-El to hide away from the public and his position as leader of the League in preparation for Krolotean spies and ambassadors to arrive. With Superman in hiding, the League needed a new hero to match his power and fight for justice. Arnus fights for Earth until he can find a way to return to his planet..

Wonder Woman - Diana Prince:

Princess. Warrior. Daughter of Themyscira and Tartarus.

Diana was always taught that she was born from clay, crafted by Hippolyta and granted life by the gods. However, when Diana ventured into the Tartarus through the very gates the Amazons guarded, she discovered this couldn't be further from the truth. The tattoos on her skin betrayed her identity to Hades as soon as he laid eyes on the young princess: Diana's father was the god of death. They granted her Hades' flight and immortality as well as the ability to communicate with and retrieve souls from the afterlife. Shocked and horrified by the revelation, Diana fled to man's world and encountered the Kryptonian who understood her isolation and the two began a relationship. Diana later joined the Justice League when Kal-El was approached by Batman and became Superman.

Batman - Bruce Wayne:

Bruce Wayne discovered the Krolotean armada entering the solar system months before NASA did. He recruited new heroes in preparation for an invasion of Earth.

When it was suspected that the aliens would seek Superman, Batman stepped down as leader to allow Kal-El to organise from behind the scenes. Wayne developed his new suit to fight against the incoming invaders.

Martian Manhunter - J’onn J’onzz:

A refugee of the Krolotean invasion of Mars and last surviving Green Martian. After fleeing Mars, his shuttle was seized by the US government, though J’onzz is currently being harboured by the Justice League fighting for his right to stay.

Hawkwoman - Shayara Hal:

Chay-Ara and her lover Khufu were revered demigods in ancient Egypt and sworn protectors of the hawk armour that grants the wearer the power of flight. They were each assassinated and the armour was lost. The couple have been reincarnated throughout history to reclaim and protect the armour.

Now, the most recent incarnation, Shayara Hal has taken up the mantle of Hawkwoman after her soulmate’s death. She will guard and wield the golden armour in the Justice League until the newborn Hawkman reaches adulthood and can relieve Shayara of her duties.

Cyborg - Victor Stone:

The power of the Mother Box stored in Star City saved Cyborg's salvaged body after an explosion in S.T.A.R Labs. After the union of Gotham and Star City, Wayne and Queen funded Victor Stone's recovery and research into the abilities of his alien technology, granting him access and control of the Boom Tubes, that now permanently connect Gotham and Star City through portals.

Zatara - Giovanni Zatara:

Zatara granted the League his knowledge and ability in the mystical arts, acting as a conduit between the magical and physical realm; Zatara is also wards the League and their bases of operations from the supernatural.

The Flash - Eobard Thawne:

A meta-human by birth, Eobard Thawne sought to enhance his advanced reflexes by recreating the lab experiment that gave Barry Allen his powers. After the death of Allen, Thawne exposed himself as a speedster and took up the mantle of The Flash at the request of the Justice League.

Little do the justice league know, that, Thawne’s future self is destined to travel back in time to kill Barry Allen in the first place, so that the past Thawne may take up his position on the League.
