(1/7) In the Same Boat

Sindy's yellow rain slicker (from 1967) was once a smooth and flexible garment. Now, it's stiff as cardboard which can prove difficult in most situations.

Sindy: Upon my word, I can't see a thing. If only I could lift my arms...

>The doorbell rings<

Sindy: Oh, that must be Paul.

Sindy started to slowly shuffle towards the door, the unyielding trousers preventing her from taking any actual steps. Not seeing where she went, she soon stranded behind a box of Christmas stuff someone had left out.

Paul: The door was open so I let myself in. Ha ha, what's with the hat ol' girl?

Sindy: Paul? Oh, good. Can you please help me? This fabulous outfit has some minor limits and I can't reach, well anything really.

Paul: Darling, I'm awfully sorry but I'm in the same boat so to speak. Can't move a limb. Stiff as a stick you might say.

Sindy: Ah, you're wearing yours as well? 'Ship Ahoy', was it?

Paul: The same. But if I lean towards you, I can perhaps push your sou'wester further north with my nose.

Sindy: My darling, do give it a try.

Paul went for it and before long, they both tipped over.
