Blessed Sisters
Polly: Why can't I have breakfast in bed?
Sindy: You will, when it's your birthday.
Polly: Ugh! It's never my birthday. Eeeevery body else has birthdays ALL the time. I sang at one recently you know.
Sindy: Yes I heard. Quite a spectacle.
Polly: That curtain on your head is a spectacle.
Sindy: It's for keeping my curls in place you wicked girl. You could use one.
Polly: I rather die! But I guess old people like you need it.
Sindy: Polly! I just turned 17, not 71.
Polly: Same, same. Can you read me this book?
Sindy: No!
Polly: If you do, I'll invite Batman to your party. I've been to his house don't you know. And I won't mention you have a curtain on your head.
Sindy: It's not a ...!! Batman? The little one or the big one?
Polly: Both.
Sindy: *scooting over* Climb in and hand me that book.
"Soon they were both lost in the world of Dorothy, Toto, The Tin Woodman, Scarecrow, The Cowardly Lion and all the rest in the land of Oz. Sindy would have missed her own party if it wasn't for mum, poking her head in to see where the young miss had gone."
