Little Boop dreamed of becoming a renowned circus artist, so she practiced poise and lion hussling everyday.
Her pup Dodo roared and jumped through loops and ate sausages like no other lion. He loved his little mistress.

I still don't know anything more specific about her, but we've come to the conclusion that she's likely a vintage souvenir doll.
She's made out of papier mache with a varnished and painted surface. She has moulded hair under those cute braids, so they must have used up other dolls for their purpose OR, someone did a makeover at some point.
Her outfit feels homemade with tiny glass pearls and was pinned shut in the back with rusty needles. The black skirt (on the floor beside her) hid this adorable set of petticoat and pantaloons.
Her legs and arms are attached with a spring, making them possible to pose.

See that mark on her elbow? That's my doing. There's also a spot on her neck you can't see here. In my eagerness to clean her, she was covered with muck, I managed to scrub some of her off before realizing she was made out of paper!
