A sisterly act

Alice (left) couldn't believe her eyes when Tammy (right) approached her in the parking lot. Her hair had been trimmed short and not by a skilled hand by the look of it.

 

Tammy: Before you say anything, have you seen my little sister Pepper lately?

 

Alice: (Reluctantly) Yes... I'm awfully sorry about her hair...

 

Tammy: Oh don't be, it'll grow out, but do you know why she and your sister Patch cut it off?

 

Alice: They were being naughty? What happened to your...

 

Tammy: No. Some silly girls had been mean to Pepper at school and she wanted them to know she was a daredevil, just like Patch, so she cut off her pretty curls!

 

Alice: Oh dear! I'm afraid that won't do. Girls can be wicked.

 

Tammy: You got that right! That's why I cut off my own hair and now we're going to pick her up from school in your sports car.

 

Alice: How splendid! I'll crank up the radio real loud, 'Help' by The Beatles plays all the time.

 

Tammy: Haha, that will be perfect. Help is what the little meanies will need when we're done with them. Big sisters have no mercy!

 

Alice: Hop in and I'll make this engine roar!

I found a sad looking lot of Ideal dolls, the whole "Tammy family", in the Bay earlier this year. All females had their hair cut short and the whole lot were filthy. My heart swam over and here we are.
