"This elegant building of the Ionian order is called the Erechtheion ( in Portuguese Erectheion), originating from the name of Erechtheus , the mythical king of Athens.
The construction of the Greek temple began before the beginning of the Peloponnesian War (431 BC) or after the conclusion of the “peace of Nicias” (421 BC) and ended in 406 BC, after the works were interrupted because of the war."
