Astrantia "Rubra" By Jackie

Astrantia is commonly known as Masterwort and is one of our oldest garden flowers.

Each flower appears to be made up of tufted stamens, and at the base of each tuft is a frill of stiff, papery bracts.

The flowers can be white, pinkish or red depending on the species.

Astrantia flowers for several weeks and is excellent for cutting.
