Morning Angel (Karen Trice)
OBR: One Billion Rising - #MeToo
This my story. I, Karen Trice (AKA Susietea), am a survivor of domestic violence! I was married to a man that verbally and physically abused me for twelve years. In the year 2012, I was stabbed and had my head split open in three places while sleeping, waking in horror and confusion, blood everywhere. I looked like something out of a horror movie once I got a glimpse of my reflection while stumbling around, being chased all over the house. I was thrown outside and left to die... I survived.
"One Billion Rising is an event that happens every Valentine’s Day (February 14th), since 2012 for 24 hours, to raise awareness and end violence against women." This is probably the most important photo and message I will ever share with Flickr. Do go check out the sim before it disappears: maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/OBR%20Resist/202/218/23
Love, light, and peace for all that did not survive. I stand with all of my fellow survivors. I hear you. I understand you. And I know your pain, for it is mine too.
