After a ghastly start to my year, it was refreshing to finally escape the confides of home to stop the 6D (and myself) from gathering dust!
The sun is close to the horizon as 66619 "Derek W. Johnson MBE" rolls over the Somerset Levels at Oath in low winter evening light. It was operating the 7C28 15.42 Exeter Riverside-Whatley Quarry empty aggregates. Unfortunately, the sun was not in generous supply for the main attraction of 56090 on KSA timber wagons, which passed through 15 minutes earlier. I supposed this made up for the initial disappointment.
