66148 Cholsey Manor Farm
Regretfully I only managed a single visit to Cholsey before the electrification masts went up. I supposed "Once Is Enough" in the scheme of things, as per the Wire song I was listening to during the editing session of this photo!
Taken on Tuesday 15th April 2014, 66148 passes a ripe field of oil rapeseed on the approach to a healthy galley of about 15 photters with the 6X48 Dagenham Docks-Didcot carrying loaded cars for forwarding onto Scotland. This working has since ceased, presumably due to a downturn in production at the Ford Dagenham plant, along with the cessation of enterprise services to Scotland, including the ex-Didcot.
