Photoshop:
Originally photo was mucked. We were just dancing, no lights on us but plenty on the background. We were having fun that night. I always intended to try to get him to go back and do a photoshoot with lights on and all but we never did.
So to fix this image up: Of course I used levels but we were just too dark so it was very pixelated. So I used this "Impressionist" PS tutorial
"Photoshop “Claude Monet Effect” Tutorial"

I found a sky and sea I liked (two different pics) and used the tutorial on them. I took the top edge of the ocean off to create a horizon.
I cut our dancing figures out and did that too. Since we were too small, I layered that with a couple layers to put some detail in the faces back in so we weren't totally blank-faced but still sort of impressionistic.
Then I flipped us to create the reflection, used the ripple filter, added in the blend layer overlay and dialed down the opacity.
I did all that cuz I just wanted to say Happy New Year's from Winter and I! laughing. Hope you're having a great one.
