In 1832, this island was visited by an expedition which included Charles Darwin. His experiences on Fernando de Noronha were recorded in his journal, later published as The Voyage of the Beagle.
The clipper "Stad Amsterdam" is going to make the exact voyage of the "Beagle" and is also going to visit this archipelago very soon.
