TCDD E32019. Istanbul Sirkeci
Seen at the former European Terminus of Istanbul Sirkeci are two 'Marmaray' livery Turkish State Railways (TCDD) E32000 units built from 2011 by Hyundai Rotem in South Korea.
These specific units were built for the Marmaray Commuter network linking the European side of the Turkish City with the Asian side via an 8.5 mile long tunnel under the Bosphorus.
As part of these works Sirkeci Station was closed in 2013 replaced by a new Marmaray station deep underground with the tracks above ground being used to stable units.
