Across the Universe

The Perseids meteor shower as seen from the Sierra Nevada mountains in California. Taken looking south at about 6000 feet this is a selection of three meteors. The best was the one in the right lower part of the photo passing behind drift smoke. The universe holds steady while the earth is in a spot of bother.
