FroZEN sunlight

warmed by your tender heart

melts softly much to my delight

and gently falls upon the dart

from Eros' bow

his ancient quiver

the aim; the blow

holds true; I shiver

as the cloak of darkness now ascends

enfolds me in soft velvet swathes

the last of evening light descends

'til day and night roll into waves

the deepest ocean is within my reach

the shingled beach shifts easily beneath my feet

Mother nature has so much to teach

and now I have your love I am complete

no longer wandering my beach alone

a hand to guide me; shooting stars abound

I make a wish and learn to skim a stone

I place a message in a bottle that I found

and hope that you will see it

and will care enough to read it

when I look down from here on high

and when I see your smile and know I placed it there

I will whisper on the breeze as gentle as a sigh

so you may hear or feel it just as though my hand

touches you on your shoulder and you will know

that there is more in Heaven and Earth we do not understand

and more to life and love that does not end because we have to go.
